Feelin' Hot Hot Hot and a Competition!

Zaggora Viva Hot Pants £50*
The title of this post is supposed to be ironic.. I am pretty damn sure we are cruising right into Winter now with no sign of the usual 'Indian Summer' or nice Autumnal days!

Today I am talking about my new best friends.. Zaggora Viva Hot Pants. Now I am sure you are aware that I was recently a Bridesmaid and when you hear bridesmaid you think.. Pippa Middleton's backside.. or is that just me?!

I wanted to lose a few pounds before I did the honours of being my friend's Bridesmaid so I started Weight Watchers in January and have combined that with getting my ass down the gym a little more often than I used to!

I have read a lot about Zaggora Hot Pants and as the time drew closer to the Wedding I wanted to see if I could up the weight-loss/toning ante. I was contacted by Zaggora to see if I wanted to try a pair and they very kindly sent me some of the Viva Hotpants to review.

Zaggora make some pretty serious claims in terms of toning abilities and weight loss so I was super keen to get these bad boys on and see what the fuss was about.

I was not disappointed!

'Specially designed with Celu-Lite technology fabric lining, HotPants™ enhance your natural body temperature to warm you up in the areas you want to target most (thighs, bum, and legs).

Tested at the Chelsea School at Brighton University, HotPants™ are proven to use your body heat to increase energy expenditure before and after exercise by raising your core body temperature by up to 18%. Since you’re heating up and your body is using more energy, you are burning more calories; calorie burn increases by 26% in the hour after exercise with HotPants™ too.  As we all know, as you burn calories, you lose weight.

The lab tests also demonstrated that in just 30 minutes of exercise, women lost 4x more weight with HotPants™ than they did when doing the same exercise in standard workout clothes.'

I can only describe the Hotpants as feeling like wet suit material. They are quite thick and are supposed to be fairly tight. In terms of sizing I got an XL and I do feel as though they are true to size.

I wore mine at the Gym with a big t-shirt and I don't think I got any strange looks at how bright they are! They just look like normal work out leggings. However one slight criticism I have is that the bright line down the crotch gave me some serious camel toe so I would check that out before you inadvertently wear a short top!

Also another thing to bear in mind.. they are quite noisy(?) if that makes sense? Because of the material they make like a whooshing noise if they rub together so if you are running for example you will hear the material rubbing together. Not a massive problem but if you go to a really quiet gym it might be an issue for you.

So results wise.. I reckon I lost a good inch all over my legs, stomach and thighs during the two week challenge which I was really pleased with. I went to the gym 3/4 times per week over that period and they do say just wear them round the house too which I didn't so I reckon I will up my wears per week to really feel the benefits!

My bridesmaid dress fit me nicely and whilst my booty is probably never going to rival P-Mid's I did feel that it was much better from wearing my hot pants!

I know that they are expensive and times are tough but I do feel like they are worth the money. I am definitely going to look into purchasing some of the other styles to wear for the gym just so I have a bit of variety!

And I am VERY pleased to tell you that I have 1 pair up for grabs for one lucky reader! 2. Hi Sally,
I would love to try these, but haven't summoned up the courage to spend £50 on them! I'd like to get trim for a romantic break to Madrid in early December to celebrate my other half's 40th.
    Love, Gill @clockingofftime
ps really LOL'd at your comment about the crotch line. Fortunately I don't do short tops!
