Vogue Fashion Night Out: The Round Up

I feel like I am still tired following the excitement of Vogue Fashion Night Out in Manchester on Thursday night! I took the afternoon off so that I could have plenty of time to get round and see everything, but there was just SO much fun stuff on that I couldn't physically haul my ass round everywhere  in the time!

First up for me was makeup by the lovely team at Benefit Harvey Nichols, I LOVE these girls so much, friendly and seriously great at creating a lovely makeup look, I had to pop in and get glam before the big night! I went for a gold smokey eye which was created using the creaseless creams, hoola powder and a gorgeous plummy brown shade. LOVED IT!

Next up was the media briefing from Manchester Arndale. We were talked through the various activities going on within the centre that night and treated to Sushi from Yo Sushi and the most amazing gift bags which were very kindly put together by Boots - I felt completely spoilt!

I then headed over to Selfridges for their Press Reception, and treated myself to a fizzy water and lime as it was measurements for me at the Gym yesterday and I wanted to be good! I also made a point of going to check out dresses by the same designer as my #adresstoimpress project that I am working towards so had to keep on the straight and narrow after I saw what I am aiming for in the flesh! Selfridges had so much going on and I wish really I had had longer to experience it all! There was a huge queue for the Selfridges 'Selfies' taken in a giant yellow bag and because of having to go elsewhere I just couldn't wait in the queue! Boooo.

I was able to celeb spot though and clocked Daisy Lowe, Henry Holland and Eliza Doolittle arriving! Jameela Jamil was resident DJ for the night, and Erdem and William Banks were also in attendance to talk through their collections. I also saw super manicurist Sophy Robson on the Chanel Manicure Bar!

Gap in St Ann's Square was the next stop on my list, they had MMU Students styling up some looks, the Mancorialist photographing visitors to VFNO who had been style spotted and also smoothies on tap for shoppers!

After Gap I went back into Manchester Arndale for a wander round and my final stop was Debenhams for a talk from the Personal Shopping Team. I was really impressed with this as I had always had a preconception about Personal Shopping and rather smugly thought to myself, 'pfft, I can dress myself thanks!' but it is very clearly so much more than I had ever thought! The girls were lovely and I can see that they really would be a great help if you were looking to update your wardrobe. I will definitely be booking in to see how they direct me!

I then headed home as I was practically dead on my feet! The whole event was genuinely superb. I cannot express how proud I was to be from Manchester that night as everyone was so friendly and welcoming, the buzz in the city was incredible and if Vogue don't return to Manchester again then I think they are really silly! I am gutted that I ended up forgetting about Bip Ling in the Ugg Store as I would have loved to meet her, I also heard that Harvey Nichols had Jamie and Proudlock from MIC and Pixie Geldof DJing in H&M! There was just to much to do and not enough time to do it!

I also wanted to say thanks to MCRFW and my lovely fellow bloggers, who it was great to bump into, Manchester Arndale for hosting such a lovely media briefing, Selfridges for their kind invite to their Press Reception and Debenhams for telling me all about something I clearly had no idea about and also the lovely gift they gave us!

Roll on VFNO next year!!!
