Harvey Nichols Manchester Beauty Bloggers Event

Christmas Windows!
Good evening!

Tonight I attended a Beauty Blogger Event hosted by Harvey Nichols in Manchester, where a fair few of us Northern Bloggers got to enjoy a series of workshops and how-to's from each of the beauty brands!

We all met in the beauty hall, admired outfits and hair styles as as bloggers tend to do.. had orange juice and prosecco and then were given our goodie bags! 5 minutes in and there were probably at least 20 very happy girls!

I headed straight to Estee Lauder with my friend to find her perfect foundation colour. The lovely lady colour matched her skin perfectly and gave her a flawless base. We discovered that she used to work in the department store where we live and had served Steph many times! Small world...

Next up we headed to Chanel to find our perfect red lip colour. Ashley on Chanel is absofrigginglutely amazing. He is so friendly and knowledgable and we loved him! He showed us how all the different reds look SO different on different skin tones? Even from my skin to my friend's skin the same colour looked more coral on her and then more red on me.. it is weird!

A red lip is lovely and festive so we were really pleased to make this wearable for us. I always thought red wouldn't suit me but it's just a matter of finding your red!

I then wanted to go to Bare Minerals to experiment with their eye colours. I use their foundation currently and as you are probably aware if you read my blog.. I LOVE IT. I definitely want to start using other products from them so was really pleased to have a smoky eye created using their smoky eyes kit. The kit contains a shimmery nude and a lovely ashy grey which combine to create the most beautiful smoky shades on the eyelid without being too dark. They also come with a double ended brush in the kit so I think that may have to make it's way onto my Christmas list! ;o)

It was a fantastic night and I am so grateful to Kate for organising and for Harvey Nichols for putting on such a fabulous event. Whoever the macaroon supplier was is a complete culinary genius!!

Here are some more pics from the event.. can't wait to read some of the other lovely Blogger's posts!
